2009 was a record year for TTC users

The Toronto Transit Commission has reached a major milestone.
Vice-chairman of the TTC and councillor Joe Mihevc said 2009 was a record year for TTC commuters.
In fact, the red rocket’s ridership hit 471.2 million, which is the highest in the history of the commission.
These year-end numbers were released on the heels of the TTC’s announcement of creating a blue ribbon panel to come up with ways to improve customer service.
