Vandalism Leads To GO Train Delays, Cancellations

Authorities are investigating an act of vandalism that prompted GO Transit to delay and cancel some trains in the height of the morning rush Thursday.

The incident happened just west of the Guildwood GO station on the Lakeshore East line around 4:30am and caused some signal problems. The vandals reportedly caused the damage while trying to take some copper wire.

Some trains were delayed more than 30 minutes and several trips were cancelled.
