Holocaust denier Ernst Zundel released from German prison

Holocaust denier Ernst Zundel has been released from a German prison after serving a five-year sentence for inciting racial hatred according to locals.

Zundel, 69, lived in Canada from 1958 until 2005, when he was extradited to Germany to face charges of denying the Holocaust, a crime in that country.

Zundel was greeted by a crowd of around 20 supporters who clapped and shouted “Bravo!” as he walked through the gates Monday.

The 70-year-old Zundel said he’s unsure if he’ll return to Canada from where he was deported in 2005.
