Canada-Wide Warrant Issued For Suspect In Port Perry Murder

A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for a man accused of killing one person and wounding another in Port Perry.

Danny Nguyen (pictured), 27, is wanted for the murder of Andrew Lee Shue, 43. A 35-year-old man, who has not been identified, was also shot. He is expected to recover.  He was treated and released from hospital and running to a nearby home for help.

“We were about to leave the house and we heard bang bang bang on the door, and this gentleman was standing there, kind of slumped over and he said I need your help i’ve been shot….we called 911…” recalled neighbour Glenn Gutteridge.

“He was fading on us a little bit…he was bleeding from the left side of his head…and he had two holes in the back.”

Durham Regional Police were called to a residence at Crandall Street and Highway 7A around 4:30pm on Thursday.

Investigators believe that the three men knew each other but haven’t determined a motive.

Nguyen is described as:

  • Asian
  • thin build
  • dark hair
  • brown eyes
  • 6’
  • 140 lbs
  • wears glasses.

He is considered armed and dangerous and anyone who sees him is urged not to approach him, but rather contact police.
