McCallion not a good record-keeper, lawyer says

Hazel McCallion’s office isn’t making the job of a judicial inquiry any easier.

The Toronto Star has reported the lawyer for the inquiry expressed concern at a hearing yesterday that the long time mayor of Mississauga doesn’t appear to be a very good record-keeper.

The inquiry has been told the 88-year-old’s emails are deleted by her executive assistant once the mayor has read them and McCallion does not keep a record of her daily meetings.

The inquiry is looking into McCallion’s conduct in a failed land deal involving her son Peter.
