Police tracked down the vehicle believed to have been used in a fatal hit and run last week, but the suspected driver is still at large.
Nanthi Dharmaratnam, 25, was run down, allegedly on purpose, early Saturday in the parking lot of the Terraview Learning Centre at 1641 Pharmacy Ave.
Investigators found the suspect vehicle — a blue 2005 Monte Carlo — across town, in the Keele and Lawrence area, this week but they continue to search for the man who was allegedly behind the wheel when it struck Dharmaratnam.
Seran Kasilingam, also known as “Kutty Shawn”, is wanted on a Canada-wide arrest warrant for second-degree murder.
“I, again, encourage him to seek legal advice and to make efforts to surrender himself,” Det. Sgt. Frank Skubic of the homicide squad said.
Kasilingam is described as brown-skinned, 5 feet, 11 inches tall with a heavy build. It’s believed he has friends in the Montreal, Ottawa and Sault Ste. Marie areas.
