Toronto’s spring cleanup underway

TORONTO, Ont. – The City of Toronto’s annual spring cleanup has started early this year because of the milder than normal weather.
More than 500 city workers are taking part in the massive cleanup effort using 50-litre vacuums, 45 sweepers, and 11 collection trucks.
They have have already cleaned up more than 836 tonnes of litter — that’s about 24 transport trucks.
They’ve also removed 70 dead trees over the past few weeks.
