Woman Killed In Two-Vehicle Crash In Vaughan

A 45-year-old Woodbridge woman is dead after a truck collided with her car north of the city.

Police say shortly before 2pm Wednesday, the woman was driving her Toyota Camry west on Major MacKenzie Dr. and was struck by a northbound GMC straight truck as she drove through the intersection at Highway 50.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The 36-year-old driver of the truck, a Toronto man, was treated for minor injuries in hospital.

The victim’s family has requested that her identity not be released.

Police are investigating and have not laid any charges.
