Smitherman’s campaign manager resigns

TORONTO, Ont. – It may be a big blow to George Smitherman’s campaign for mayor of Toronto.
His campaign manager, Jeff Bangs, has resigned.
Bangs resignation came without warning Friday evening, and was announced to the public by the Smitherman camp in a statement moments later.
Campaign spokesperson Stefan Baranski told 680News he does not believe Bangs departure is the sign of an unsteady campaign.
Bangs announced he would be stepping down to spend more time with his family.
A new campaign manager has not been named.
