Status of European airspace

Below is a list of status updates from European airspace

  • Britain: All airports open

  • Germany: Airspace staying shut to 0800 GMT Wednesday, apart from 800 low-altitude flights

  • Ireland: Airspace reopened

  • Poland: Airspace to reopen at 0500 GMT Wednesday

  • France: Limited flights. Most airports open, Air France resuming long-haul service Wednesday

  • Italy: Airspace open

  • Netherlands: Airspace open

  • Spain: 17 airports open

  • Switzerland: Airspace is open

  • Belgium: Planes landing, but no departures until 1200 GMT Wednesday

  • Sweden: Airspace open over central-northern Sweden. Stockholm Arlanda airport closed until at least Wednesday morning

  • Denmark: Airspace open from 0000 GMT Wednesday until at least 0600 GMT

  • Norway: Airspace is open
