Two Milton schools in lockdown

Two schools are in lockdown after reports of someone firing a gun in a wooded area near Main and Ontario Streets.

Halton Regional Police told 680News EC Drury high school and nearby Sam Sherrat elementary school are both in lockdown as a precaution while police investigate.

Just before 11 Tuesday morning, a group of teenagers was seen running out of the wooded area.

They told a witness their friend was in the woods firing a weapon.

Officers are now searching the area.

There are no reports of injuries.
