Police at Sikh centre in Rexdale to keep an eye on possible violence

There was extra security inside and several police officers outside a Sikh temple in Rexdale as a meeting was taking place Wednesday afternoon.
This follows a weekend brawl outside a Brampton temple involving warring groups armed with hammers and machetes. Three people were arrested.
At the meeting Wednesday, police took no chances. They kept an eye on the Sikh Spiritual Centre in Rexdale to “make sure nothing gets out of hand.”
There were 10 police officers on the scene along with two security guards manning the sign-in desk, asking for identification.
Groups were arguing over control of the centre and Wednesday’s meeting deals with the possible removal of half the board of directors
