Missing laptop returns to family empty

TORONTO, Ont. – The missing laptop stolen from a room in the Princess Margaret Hospital Lodge on Jarvis Street, that contained irreplaceable family photographs, has been recovered.
However, the family has confirmed that the information on the laptop has been wiped clean.
Toronto police are bringing the computer into a data recovery expert to see if any information on the system can be salvaged.
The owner of the laptop said the computer contained about one-thousand photos of the last three years of her daughter life; she died of cancer earlier this year.
The laptop was stolen from the woman’s father’s hospital room on Saturday evening, where he is being treated for cancer.
Police have issued an arrest warrant for 35-year-old Bradley Warford of Barrie, Ont., on charges of break-and-enter and breach of parole.
