TTC To Divert Bloor-Danforth Trains This Weekend

The TTC will be diverting trains on the Bloor-Danforth line over the long weekend for track work and a switch replacement near St. George station.
Starting Saturday, Bay station will be closed and passengers will have to change trains at Museum station if they want to go farther east or west.
The detour will take riders through a section of the subway that was open only briefly in 1966 as well as the mothballed Lower Bay station.
TTC staff will be on hand to assist passengers if needed.
The Bloor-Danforth line carries as many as 800,000 riders on a normal weekend.
The subway will be back to normal Tuesday morning.
