Nine year old boy wins Google contest

Visitors to Google may be aware of banner drawings or animation, which changes according to seasons and holidays, or other special events.

Google recently held a contest to design a banner, and announced on Wednesday that a nine year old from Missouri has won, and will soon be seen as soon as web surfers visit the popular search engine.

Makenzie Melton’s drawing – “Rainforest Habitat” – was chosen out of 33,000 entries.

The youngster will also receive $15,000 and a netbook computer.
