Normally, Facebook encourages its users to join the more popular causes, suggesting that subscribers “like” or “add” a favourite page.
But the social networking site might not be pleased with the growth of a recent group: Quit Facebook Day had over 6,000 fans early on Monday morning.
Two Toronto men, along with many other users, are fed up with the site’s privacy settings.
Joseph Dee and Matthew Milan launched a website calling for people to leave Facebook on May 31.
Dee and Milan say that the default privacy settings expose more information than some users were aware of.
