StreetBeat – June 4 – Man Seriously Hurt In Balcony Fall

A man is fighting for his life in hospital after he plunged off a condominium balcony.

Police are trying to figure out if the 32-year-old was pushed or if he fell off the platform at 55 Stewart St., near Bathurst and King, around 4am Friday.

The man suffered broken bones and a head injury.

The scene has been contained for the investigation.


Baseball Bat Attack

A man wielding a baseball bat attacked another man around 4am Friday in the east end.

Police said the assault happened on Fernwood Gardens, near Broadview and O’Connor. The victim is in hospital with serious injuries and the suspect is still on the loose.


Man Charged After Allegedly Trying To Grab Girl

Police have arrested and charged a 61-year-old man they say tried to grab an 11-year-old girl in Etobicoke.

The victim was in the area of Lake Shore Blvd. W. and Browns Line when the accused approached on a bicycle and allegedly tried to grab her.

The girl ran away and reported the incident. But by the time officers got to the scene, the accused had fled.

On Thursday, police arrested Ross Townsend and charged him with criminal harassment. He was scheduled to appear in court Friday morning.
