Road Closures

If you’re heading into – or leaving from – the downtown core, be warned: a series of closures is affecting roads across the city.
The Gardiner Expressway will shut down between Carlaw Avenue and the Humber River on Sunday night, and will reopen on Monday morning.
Here are the events and the affected roads:
Woofstock
It’s the largest outdoor festival for dogs in all of North America! And the CUTEST!
Front Street will be closed from Yonge Street to Jarvis Street from Friday, June 11 at 6:30pm to Sunday, June 13 at midnight.
Festival on Bloor
A 2.5 km strip of road goes car-free for this annual celebration.
Bloor Street will be closed from Spadina Avenue to Bathurst Street on Sunday, June 13 from 7am to 8pm.
Toronto Challenge Run
The 5km race (as well as 5km walk and 1km run) raises money for seniors in Toronto.
Wellington Street will be closed from Simcoe Street to John Street on Sunday, June 13 from 8am to noon.
There will also be a variety of road closures during the event in the area bounded by Wellington Street in the north, Bathurst Street in the west, Queen’s Quay in the south and York Street to the east.
Because of construction, the northbound and southbound lanes of Avenue Road/Queen’s Park Crescent will be closed at Bloor Street from Friday, June 11 at 7pm. to Monday, June 14 at 6am..
Traffic travelling southbound on Avenue Road will be redirected eastbound and westbound on Bloor Street while northbound traffic on Queens Park Crescent will be closed at Wellesley Street.
Eastbound and westbound traffic on Bloor Street will be maintained at all times. Alternative north-south routes include Yonge Street, Bay Street and Spadina Avenue.
