“People’s Summit” Kicks Off

With the G8 and G20 summits a week away, protesters are gearing up to make their voices heard.
As demonstrators began to pour into the downtown core, Friday evening saw the kick-off to the 2010 People’s Summit.
The weekend-long event is being held at Ryerson and the University of Toronto.
“We’re really offering people the skills and tools to take action safely with respect for property, with respect for other people and we’re encouraging non-violence,” said the summit coordinator Marya Folinsbee
The summit kicks off Saturday morning at 10am.
