OPP out in full force this long weekend

TORONTO, Ont. – Provincial police say the Canada Day long weekend is one of the busiest for holiday traffic, and they will be on the lookout for aggressive drivers, street racers and those not wearing seatbelts.

They will also be monitoring the roads and waterways for impaired drivers.

During last year’s Canada Day long weekend, eight people died in Ontario.

Five were killed as a result of motor vehicle collisions, one victim was in an ATV incident and two others were in accidents on waterways.
