Two people in hospital after multiple stabbing

TORONTO, Ont. – Two people have been taken to hospital and three people are in custody after a double stabbing overnight.

The stabbing happened downtown around 3:45 a.m. Sunday morning in a rooming house on George Street, near Gerrard.

A fight broke out between a number of people, said Police. The altercation ended in one man and one woman being stabbed.

They were taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Two men and a woman were taken into custody. Charges are pending against the two men.
