Body Found In West-End Reservoir

Police are investigating after a pedestrian spotted a body floating in a west-end reservoir late Friday afternoon.

Just before 5pm, someone was walking in G. Ross Lord Park, near Dufferin and Finch avenues, and saw a body floating face down in the water.

Police have identified the man, said to be in his 20s. They will wait to release his name pending notification of his family.

At this point, investigators say there’s nothing to suggest foul play but it’s also too early to characterize the death as a drowning.
