Plane crash in Quebec kills four, critically injures two

CHICOUTIMI, Q.C. – Four people have died and another two are in critical condition after a plane crashed in a remote area of northern Quebec.

Police said the plane crashed in the Lac Saint Jean region, within a larger area known as Chute des Passes located approximately 250 kilometres north of Chicoutimi.

The two survivors were airlifted to a Chicoutimi hospital.

Surete du Quebec said it is too early to know what caused the plane to crash.

The incident is now being investigated by provincial police and the Transportation Bureau of Canada.
