Weekend Road Closures

The city’s a-buzz again this weekend with several big events, including a festival on Bloor Street West, the Canadian Open and the Beaches Jazz Festival, and drivers and transit riders should expect some route changes and closures.
Here’s a look at what to expect:
–The New Bloor Festival starts at 1pm Saturday and runs through to 9pm.
Bloor Street West between Dufferin and Lansdowne will be shut down for the party between 9am and midnight Saturday.
Streets in the neighbourhood will be off-limits to vehicles between noon and 7pm Sunday. Here’s a look at the affected streets:
- Kensington Avenue between Dundas and Baldwin Streets
- Baldwin Street, between the parking garage and Augusta Avenue
- St. Andrew Street between the parking garage and Kensington Avenue
- Augusta Avenue will be off-limits to cars between Oxford and College Streets until 10:30pm
Beaches International Jazz Festival
Queen Street East between Woodbine and Beech Avenues will be closed Friday and Saturday between 6pm and midnight.
TTC Route Diversions, Closures
Subway
There will be no subway service between Lawrence West and Downsview stations Saturday and Sunday as the TTC conducts routine track maintenance.
Regular service will resume Monday.
Buses
- 37/113 Islington northbound buses will divert north-west on The Kingsway, north on Kipling Avenue and east on Eglinton Avenue.
- 37/311 southbound buses will divert west on Eglinton Avenue, south on Bemersyde Drive, south-west on Princess Margaret Boulevard and south-east on The Kingsway.This change is in effect until July 31.
- 64 Main buses will divert south on Wineva Avenue, west on Alfresco Lawn, north on Lee Avenue and east on Williamson Road.
- 143 Express will divert east on Eastern Avenue, east on Queen Street, north on Woodbine Avenue and east on Kingston Road to Victoria Park Avenue.
Streetcars
During the jazz festival, 501 streetcar will turn back westbound at Kingston Road
