Fifth Arrest In Malton Teen’s Death

A man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant was arrested Friday night in Barrie in connection with the murder of a Malton teen.

Police arrested Christopher Raphael, 20, for his role in the death of Adrian Ducas, 17.

Ducas was shot to death at the Malton Community Centre on July 3rd, following a basketball game.

Raphael, of no fixed address, will appear in a Brampton court Saturday to be formally charged with first degree murder.

He is the fifth person to be arrested in this case.

Kevaughn Tulloch, 20, of Toronto, Maurice Raphael, 23, of Scarborough, Courtney Dawkins have been charged with first-degree murder. Cassandra Elizabeth Scavone was charged with accessory after the fact of murder.

Raphael, 20 was reportedly on bail for a gun crime at the time of the Ducas murder. He’s been described as a member of Toronto’s Galloway Boys street gang.

Police have maintained that Ducas was simply playing basketball when a fight broke out and they believe he was not the intended target of the gunfire.
