Husband of Brittany Murphy died from pneumonia: coroner

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The coroner’s office has reported that Brittany Murphy’s husband died from pneumonia, the same illness which killed his wife months earlier.
The assistant chief coroner said 40 year old Simon Monjack’s heart was slightly enlarged.
The screenwriter, who was born in the U.K., also had some prescription medications in his system when he passed away on May 23, but not enough to contribute to his death.
