Poll: Liberals could boost support by replacing Gordon Campbell

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – A new poll suggests replacing Gordon Campbell could be a smart move for the B.C. Liberals. However, they probably still wouldn’t have enough support to beat the New Democrats.
The poll shows support for the B.C. Liberals, right now, is around 27 per cent but getting rid of Campbell and replacing him with either former finance minister Carole Taylor or Surrey Mayor Dianne Watts could boost support by seven per cent.
But the Angus Reid poll suggests that’s still well behind NDP support, which sits at 48 per cent. There’s been chatter about Taylor and Watts as potential party leaders – although both say they have no interest in the job.
The poll also shows three-quarters of those surveyed don’t like the job the premier is doing.
