Officials at Montreal’s Hewish General confirm Jean Chrétien has been released three days after undergoing brain surgery.

Doctors operated to remove a pool of blood that was putting pressure on his brain.

Family and freinds say the former Prime Minister will recuperate at home in Shawinigan.
