Bank robbed in Markham area

York Regional Police were looking for two suspects Friday after a Markham bank was robbed the same morning just before 9 a.m.

Police told 680News that the two men were wearing dark clothing and baseball caps and entered a TD Canada Trust Bank near Highway 7 and Markham Road.

The men approached the bank teller claiming to have a gun and demanded money.

No one was injured, but the suspects got away with a small amount of cash.

Police describe the suspects as black, around 5’10”, and in their late teens or early 20s.
