‘The Booth At The End’ Airs On Citytv Friday

A new Citytv show is coming straight to your computer (or smart phone).

You can watch “The Booth at the End” on Citytv.com. The episodes will first “air” online, before they are broadcast as a movie on the channel on Friday August 27 at midnight, ET.

“The Booth at the End” features a mysterious man in a diner who grants requests for a price. It was commissioned for Rogers’ Shorts in the City initiative. Shorts in the City is a collection of web based short form content, produced exclusively for online viewing.

In “The Booth at the End,” people approach a man a man and ask him for favours, which he grants for an interesting price. People must complete tasks normally inconceivable to then and return and outline every detail. Of course, every favour comes with a catch and the complications between the story lines unfold as the series progresses.

The encounters all start with the question “How far would you go to get what you want?”

The web series features an ensemble cast with some recognizable faces including including: Xander Berkeley ( as “The Man”), Sarah Clarke (as “Sister Carmel”), Matt Nolan (as “James”) and Jennifer del Rosario ( as “Melody”).

“We will be featuring “The Booth at the End” in Shorts in the City on Citytv.com as well as distributing the content on Rogersondemand.com and other Rogers Digital Media sites.  What makes this program unique in Canada is our approach to windowing content in non-traditional ways,” Claude Galipeau, SVP & GM Digital Media, Rogers Media, said.  The series will first be available online and on mobile devices, and then later on broadcast.
