One Dead Following Double Shooting

One man has died in hospital following a shooting Tuesday night.
Violence broke out on Cather Crescent, near Allen Road and Highway 401, around 8pm.
The victim, a man in his 20s, was shot in the face and head. He died Wednesday night at Sunnybrook hospital. The other victim, a man in his 30s was shot in the shoulder and has been released from hospital.
Toronto Police returned to the scene of the crime on Wednesday morning. So far, there’s no description of the suspect – or suspects.
“It’s a residential area, a highly-populated residential area, it was still daylight at the time of the shooting,” Insp. Bryan Bott said.
“We’re hoping that the public will come forward and assist us with this investigation,” Bott added.
On Monday night there was a confirmed shootout in the same area, on Flemington Road near Stockton.
No one was injured in that incident, but police recovered numerous shells.
