One person dies in Hwy. 401 crash in Cambridge; highway re-opened

CAMBRIDGE, Ont. – A tractor-trailer loaded with livestock crashed into a car on the eastbound Highway 401 in Cambridge, Ont., Monday, killing one person.
The eastbound lanes had been closed at Townline Road, but have since re-opened.
The tractor-trailer rear-ended the car just before 4 a.m. on the 401 near Franklin Boulevard.
The car was wedged under the truck and then caught on fire.
The victim’s name has not been released.
The truck driver was not injured.
