TORONTO, Ont. – A summit will take place at Queen’s Park, Wednesday, to discuss the ways deal with the bed bugs plaguing the city.
The meeting was organized by MPP Mike Colle and will include municipal and provincial representatives as well as public health units, landlords and pest management experts.
The goal of the summit is to create a list of ten things that should be done to tackle the problem.
Colle introduced a private members bill over the summer that would force landlords to give prospective tenants a “bed bug report” before signing a lease.
According to MacLean’s magazine, Toronto is the third worst city for bed bugs in North America.
