StreetBeat – Oct. 6 – SUV Crash

Eight people suffered minor injuries when two vehicles – an SUV and minivan – crashed in North York early Wednesday.

The accident happened around 1:30am at Wilson Heights and Sheppard.

There’s no word on what caused the collision. Police are investigating.


Voyeurism Arrest

A Toronto man is facing a slew of charges in a voyeurism investigation.

Police say that between August 1 and September 30, a suspect visited a business on Consumers Road, equipped with numerous audio and video recording devices.

He would enter a stall in the first floor women’s washroom, waiting until a woman came in before he activated a motion detector.

Once the victim was in a stall, the accused would go into the adjoining stall and place a backpack on the floor containing camera to capture the woman’s activities.

Guo Wu (pictured), 40, of Toronto has been charged with:

  • Seven counts of voyeurism- expectation of privacy
  • Four counts of voyeurism- observe or record activity
  • Seven counts of mischief interfere with property

Double Shooting

Emergency crews were called to the scene of a double shooting in the Flemington Park area Wednesday night.

Few details are available, but the shooting is said to have taken place on Cather Crescent shortly before 11pm.

Police have apparently found shell casings on nearby Varna Drive.

At this point, there’s no word on the condition of the victims or any suspects.

This is the third shooting on Cather Crescent in just over a month.
