Flaherty To Release Fall Fiscal Update

Finance Minister Jim Flaherty will release the country’s fall fiscal update on Tuesday afternoon.

Canada’s economic recovery has been slower than predicted and Flaherty is expected to outline Ottawa’s expectations for government revenue. He’ll give a speech in Mississauga at 1pm.

More than a dozen private-sector economists were consulted for the report.

No policy announcements are expected and Flaherty is expected to stress the economy is his government’s number-one priority.
