British actor Simon MacCorkindale dies

British actor Simon MacCorkindale has died at the age of 58 following a battle with cancer.

MacCorkindale shot to fame starring in the Agatha Christie murder mystery “Death on the Nile” in 1978 and went on to star in the TV hits “Dynasty” and “The Dukes of Hazzard” as Gaylord Duke. In the 1980s, he was seen on the American series “Manima” and as Greg Reardon on “Falcon Crest.”

MacCorkindale who was married to actress Susan George had been battling cancer for the last few years.
