TORONTO, Ont. – For the third time in his career, a Whitby, Ont., doctor has lost his medical licence after being found guilty at a disciplinary hearing of sexual abuse of a patient.
The Ontario College of Physicians and Surgeons yanked Dr. Larry Scott Henderson’s right to practice medicine in Ontario.
The disciplinary hearing heard Henderson, 60, met a woman outside of the office. The woman then later became one of his patients from 1985 to 2000.
The patient testified the two began a sexual relationship in 1997 shortly after the doctor’s wife died. She said they continued the affair for nine years.
Henderson’s licence was revoked twice before. He had sex with a patient and kissed and fondled another one.
He has to wait five years before he can try to get his licence back.
