TTC complaints up 15 per cent, compliments up 30 per cent

TORONTO, Ont. – There is good and bad news for the TTC.

Rider complaints are up 15 per cent so far in 2010, but compliments are also up by 30 per cent.

The most common complaints are about delays and rude workers.

TTC Commissioner Peter Milczyn said despite a promise to improve customer service, the culture at the TTC hasn’t changed yet.

The Globe and Mail reported most of the recommendations from a blue ribbon panel haven’t been implemented yet.

While the TTC has hired temporary staff to clean out all 69 subway stations before the end of the year, they haven’t yet hired a chief customer service officer.

As well, electronic information screens will be installed at all subway stations next year.
