VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – NDP MLA Adrian Dix says he’s accepted an apology from Minister of Social Development Kevin Krueger after he made a controversial comment on a Kamloops radio station today.
“If there ever was a guy who shouldn’t put his head up to get it shot off – as the soldiers refer to it – it’s Adrian Dix.” That’s the comment Krueger has apologized for.
Dix says it’s inappropriate at any time, especially a week after the fatal shooting in Arizona.
He says he received an email from the liberal cabinet minister this afternoon, saying he regrets the metaphor. “Hopefully, lessons will be learned by Mr. Krueger and others not to behave in this way.”
Dix says the comment is a kind of political commentary we don’t need in Canada.
