Update: Power outage almost restored in Dufferin and Glencairn area

TORONTO – Power is almost completely restored in the Dufferin and Glencairn area.
The power outage affected the area of Allen and Lawrence after a transformer exploded and burst into flames.
It happened at 2853 Dufferin, near Glencairn Avenue. Several addresses in the area, including a gas station were without power.
Toronto hydro said the outage ran from Dufferin Street to Allen Road, and from Lawrence Avenue to Roselawn Avenue.
Police were on the scene to shut down the area to avoid traffic.
About thirty customers are without power and once crews finish working on a hew hydro pole the power will be fully restored.
