Fire at popular U of T eatery

Flames erupted inside a popular U of T restaurant Monday morning.

The blaze started inside Daddyos at 673 Spadina Ave., near Harbord, just before 8am, prompting authorities to close down a section of northbound Spadina between Bloor and Harbord. The road has since reopened.

Firefighters managed to contain the flames relatively quickly. No injuries were reported.

There’s no word yet on the cause of the fire.
