TORONTO – The official arrival of spring tonight means there is another season upon us … Construction season!
City crews will soon be back at work repairing roads and potholes, and picking up where they left off on certain projects since last fall.
A major job will be the resumption of construction of the three bridges at Jameson Avenue, which will affect traffic on the Gardiner Expressway. The total cost of the job is $15-million.
Crews will also be getting back to work at Roncesvalles Avenue, with over $9-million of work to be done which includes new water and sewage pipes.
They have been working that since 2009 causing major problems for store owners and drivers. It should be completed by this summer.
There is also major construction that is set to be done on Dundas Street, Steeles and Scarlett Road.
