Teen struck by Via Rail train in Brantford

BRANTFORD, Ont. – A 14-year-old boy has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a Via Rail train.

It happened around 1:30 p.m. Friday.

Witnesses told the Brantford Expositor the teen was still alive, but unresponsive as paramedics arrived.

It’s believed a group of trains were on the tracks at the time of the accident, but no one else was hurt.

There’s no word on the teen’s condition or if the accident caused any service delays.
