City golf courses open

With the Masters done and the city’s golf courses finally opening, it’s time for armchair athletes to get on the green themselves.

As of Tuesday morning, players can practice their swing at all five public courses – Dentonia, Don Valley, Humber Valley, Scarlett Woods, and Tam O’Shanter.

Fees range depending on the course, day, and time, and youths and seniors pay less. For adults, playing 18 holes can cost as little as $24 during the weekdays and as much as $63 on weekends and holidays.

The courses offer lessons, clinics, pro shops, clubs and carts for rent, and snacks. And special programs include a family golf night and ladies’ league.
