Blazers dismiss GM Cho after 1 season

PORTLAND, Ore. — The Portland Trail Blazers have dismissed general manager Rich Cho after less than a year on the job.

Chad Buchanan, the team’s director of college scouting, will serve as acting general manager.

The unexpected move came on Monday, about a month before the NBA draft. The Blazers scheduled a news conference on Monday afternoon.

Cho was hired by the Blazers last July to replace Kevin Pritchard, who was dismissed by the team on draft night.
