Tim Hudak’s daughter admitted to Sick Kids

The daughter of Ontario Progressive Conservative Leader Tim Hudak is at Toronto’s Sick Kids Hospital for an undisclosed illness.

In a statement released Monday, the Opposition leader said Miller, 3, was recently admitted and receiving “excellent care.”

His press secretary would not say why the child was there and would only confirm Hudak had cancelled his appointments for Monday as well as some in the coming days.

“He’s going to keep as many as possible given this development,” Pema Lhalungpa told CityNews.ca.

Hudak thanked people for their support and said he’d like some time alone with his family for now.

“On behalf of my wife Debbie, I want to express our appreciation for the concern expressed for our daughter Miller,” he said.

“My family and I are grateful for all the thoughts, prayers and well wishes we have been receiving. And we truly appreciate that we continue to be given our privacy during this time.”

Miller – Hudak and Debbie Hutton’s only child – was born in 2007.
