Police have charged a 12-year-old Toronto boy after they allegedly seized a loaded handgun from his bedroom.
The child was arrested last Wednesday after officers responding to a call found the P-11 Luger 9 mm in a house near Queen Street West and Lansdowne Avenue. Reports say the boy lives there with his parents.
He is accused of a number of weapons offences, including unauthorized possession, altering the serial number, and careless storage. He can’t be named because of his age.
The boy appeared in a downtown youth court last Wednesday.
