Police say speed may have been a factor in a motorcycle crash that claimed the life of a 23-year-old man Thursday night.
Emergency crews were called to the scene on Whites Road at Oklahoma Drive around 9:15 p.m. Witnesses told police the motorbike was travelling at a high rate of speed before it entered the intersection and struck a Honda SUV that was waiting to make a left turn into a gas station.
The 23-year-old motorcyclist, Tony Toughlajian, was rushed to Ajax Pickering Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the SUV wasn’t hurt.
Investigators want to speak with anyone who witnessed the crash.
