Man disappears in waters off Cherry Beach

A man has gone missing in the waters off Cherry Beach.
Police say around 5 p.m., the man was on a Bayliner yacht about 100 metres from the Outer Harbour when he landed in the water.
It’s not clear whether he fell in.
Officers interviewed two men and three women who were on the boat at the time of the incident.
They were taken to 55 Division for further questioning and the boat was seized as evidence.
The search by the marine unit and dive team was called off for the evening.
