REGINA — Henry Burris ran in a touchdown and the Calgary Stampeders took advantage of the Saskatchewan Roughriders’ inability to move the ball forward in a 22-18 win Saturday.
Burris scored on an eight-yard run in the second quarter for Calgary (3-2), which scored eight points off of two Rider possessions where they were unable to move the ball from inside their own 10-yard line.

The Stampeders then capitalized with a 45-yard field goal by Rene Paredes after Eddie Johnson shaked a 31-yard punt and Saskatchewan was penalized for no yards with one second on the clock as Calgary led 13-8 at the half.
After Durant found Weston Dressler for a 58-yard touchdown pass to open the third quarter, the Riders were pinned in at their own nine-yard line on their next possession. Durant threw a pair of incompletions, forcing Johnson to concede a safety touch.
Burris drove Calgary down to Saskatchewan’s 25-yard line on their next series, setting up a 32-yard Paredes field goal to give Calgary an 18-15 lead.
Paredes added a single on a missed 31-yard field goal to give Calgary a four-point lead.
Saskatchewan had a chance to take the lead, but Jason Clermont dropped a 14-yard pass in the end zone, forcing the Riders to settle for a 20-yard field goal on the first play of the fourth quarter.
Paredes added a 47-yard field goal later to cap Calgary’s lead to 22-18.
